"කෙළෙසීම්" - "හදි කිරීම්" ද? "ලිංගික අපයෝජනයන්" ද?
Abstract
On 12 August 2024, Hiru TV used the terms "කෙළෙසූ" (kelesu) and “හදි කිරීම්“ (hadi kireem) in news subheadings when reporting the Thanamalwila student’s sexual assault case. The announcer, however, used the more appropriate term "ලිංගික අපයෝජනය" (lingika apayojanaya).
