dc.description.abstract	The triple murder and subsequent suicide of a police officer in the Inginiyagala area of Monaragala on Aug. 04, 2024 was reported by the Sinhala newspapers on the 5 August. Dinamina, Lankadeepa, Divaina, and Ada published photographs of victims and individual who died by suicide, while Aruna published emotive images. Mawbima, however, did not publish any such photos, in line with media ethical guidelines.
