"කෙලෙසීමක්" ද? " ලිංගික අපයෝජනයක්" ද?
Abstract
The reports published on 29 July 2024 and 2 August 2024 in Dinamina used the term 'keleseema' (කෙලෙසීම) in headlines to describe the sexual assaults. This term implies impurity or uncleanliness and unfairly stigmatizes the survivor. In the article content, however, the term 'අතවර' (Athavara) was used in accordance with media ethical guidelines.
