Correspondence from President’s Secretary to the Central Bank Governor on Balance of Payments Report

Abstract

This is the reply sent by P.B. Jayasundara, Secretary to the President, to the letters reporting balance of payments situation (dated 04th August 2020 and 25th August 2020) sent by W.D. Lakshman, Governor of the Central Bank to President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa. It gives observations and emphasise on the actions and requests to be proactive and complementary to the Government economic development initiatives and alternate development strategies announced in Government Policy Statement.
