Abstract
On July 22, 2024, ITN, Siyatha, TV Derana, Hiru TV, Sirasa, Swarnavahini, and Rupavahini reported that the Cabinet approved a proposal to apologise to communities affected by the mandatory cremation of Muslim individuals who died of COVID-19. On July 23, 2024, Mawbima, Ada, Aruna, Lankadeepa, and Divaina also covered this news, but Dinamina did not.
