dc.description.abstractOn July 22 and 23, 2024, media reported that several Tamil political parties and civil society organisations had signed an agreement at the Selva Memorial Hall in Jaffna to field a common candidate for the upcoming presidential election. This infographic shows which media organisations covered the event in their Sinhala prime time television news on July 22, 2024, and in Sinhala newspapers on July 23, 2024. ITN, Siyatha, TV Derana, Hiru TV, Sirasa, and Swarnavahini television channels, as well as the Lankadeepa, Divaina, Mawbima, Aruna, and Ada newspapers reported the news but Rupavahini and the Dinamina newspaper did not report it.en_US
