Abstract

On June 11, 2024, TV Derana, Hiru TV, Sirasa, Swarnawahini, Siyatha, Rupavahini and ITN television channels reported on the meetings held between ITAK leaders, Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, and Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the Jathika Jana Balawegaya. TV Derana, Hiru TV, Sirasa, and Swarnawahini covered the meetings of both parties during their prime-time Sinhala news bulletins, while Rupavahini and ITN did not report on either meeting. Siyatha reported only on the meeting between ITAK and Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
