In their coverage, these newspapers highlighted the women’s physical appearance by using the term “suruupi” (සුරූපී), along with the marginalising term “ganika” (ගණිකා) in both the headlines and the content. Media is advised to avoid using such terms, as they contribute to marginalisation and sexual objectification of women.	en_US
