On June 19, 2024, Aruna and Dinamina newspapers reported a police investigation into a case of theft of money at a massage parlour in Wadduwa. In their headlines, Aruna used the derogatory term “Aga mirikana thena” (ඇඟ මිරිකන තැන), while Dinamina used the term “Spa” (ස්පා). However, both newspapers used the appropriate term “Sambahana madhyasthanaya” (සම්බාහන මධ්‍යස්ථානය) within the article content.
