‘ජාවාරම්කරු’ යෙදුම භාවිතා කිරීම එතරම් අපහසුද?
Abstract
On January 02, 2024, the Divaina had reported two news stories related to drug dealers who were referred to using the derogatory terms “Jawaramun” (ජාවාරමුන්) and “Jawaramaku” (ජාවාරමකු). This usage violates media ethical guidelines. However, the appropriate word “Jawaramkaru” (ජාවාරම්කරු) was used in the news content.
