Abstract
On February 5th 2024, an article published in the Aruna newspaper reported on a sex crime involving a policewoman and an OIC. The headline used the sensationalised term "One Nathi Wadak" (ඕනේ නැති වැඩක්) to describe the incident, which contributed to the trivialisation of the crime.
