Abstract
On July 11, 2024, the Aruna Sinhala newspaper trivialized the news of the sexual abuse of two 8-year-old lay monks by the chief monk of the temple. Dinamina Sinhala newspaper published the same news using the term ‘ලිංගික අපයෝජනයක්‘. Therefore, Dinamina did not trivialize the incident.
