Running for President - Parliamentary Report card: Sajith Premadasa

Abstract

This infographic is created as a response to the decision of Working Committee of SJB to name SJB party leader Sajith Premadasa as the party's next presidential candidate. This report card shows the contribution of MP Sajith Premadasa (SJB) in 8th and 9th parliaments. It is based on analysis of Hansard data from September 2015 to February 2020 and August 2020 to February 2023. This includes overall rank (4/225 ;75/225), district rank (2/19;4/7) attendance in parliament sittings (209/243; 160/414), total number of productive interventions he made in parliament (443, 128) and topics which were discussed most by him in the parliament i.e., Economy and Finance, Governance, Administration and Parliamentary Affairs, Health, Urban planning, Infrastructure and Transportation.
