    Abstract
The International Day of Parliamentarism is celebrated, on 30 June, the date in 1889 on which the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) was formed - to promote democratic governance, accountability, & cooperation among its members. The day was established in 2018 through a United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Resolution. This infographic further compares how the Sri Lankan parliament fares with its' South Asian peers based off three specific criteria: size of legislative body, youth participation and women representation.
