Select Committee to Investigate Causes for Sri Lanka's Financial Bankruptcy

Abstract

On 6 July 2023, Speaker of the House Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena appointed a Select Committee of Parliament under the Chair of Sagara Kariyawasam to Investigate Causes for Sri Lanka's Financial Bankruptcy. This infographic touches upon the purpose of a select committee and highlights the list of members appointed to serve in this particular select committee. Government members include Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Pavithradevi Wanniarachchi, Sanjeeva Edirimanna, D. V. Chanaka, Ranjith Bandara, Nalaka Bandara Kottegoda, Jayantha Ketagoda and Pradeep Undugoda.
