Abstract
During the month of January, 2023, Sinhala press published two stories highlighting the ethnicity of the individual. In the Point Pedro, Jaffna Police Officer related incident Dinamina and Mawbima highlighted the ethnicity of the Police Officer. News reportage relating to the Bingiriya lorry incident, Divaina and Mawbima highlighted the ethnicity of the individual involved and Dinamina, Ada, and Lankadeepa did not highlight the ethnicity of the person. Aruna did not report on the incident.
