Abstract
During the month of March 2023, articles published in Aruna and Dinamina published several derogatory terms such as "ගුරා", "සුද්දි", which are disrespectful terms to describe people that leads to discriminating individuals in society and stereotyping. The reportage in Mawbima used the correct term, "විදේශ කාන්තාවට". In the same news, Aruna used the corrected terminology in the content of the article however used "සුද්දි" in the headline.
