Abstract
During the months of December 2022 and January 2023 Mawbima, Dinamina, Aruna and Lankadeepa had several articles published on sexual crime, which contained the following ethical violations; the use of the word 'දුෂණය' in reporting, trivialising of sex crime, sensationalising of the news and including irrelevant adjectives to the description of the person.
