dc.description.abstract | During the month of October in 2022, news published in Lankadeepa, Dinamina, Mawbima, Ada and Aruna violated the media ethical guideline of reporting inaccurate information. On October 13, Lankadeepa and Dinamina failed to accurately refer to Erik Solheim as the former UN Environment Executive Director. Mawbima reported it accurately. On October 20 Lankadeepa, Ada and Dinamina reported a story about a young woman's murder in Vavuniya in three different manners. On October 25, Aruna and Lankadeepa reported different reasons for a quarrel that took place at the Miss Sri Lanka New York competition. | en_US |
