Abstract

In the month of November 2018, Divaina, Lakbima, Mawbima, Lankadeepa, Dinamina, Thinakaran and Thinakkural reported suicides without including suicide helplines while including method of suicide and explaining it in detail, giving prominence to suicide in the heading, simplifying reasons for suicide, publishing images of the victim and relations which is a violation of media ethical guidelines.
