Abstract

In the month of August 2018, articles published in Divaina which contained the ethical violations of using derogatory terms such as "dooshanaya”(දුෂණය) and “kelesu” (කෙළෙසූ) to describe sexual violence. It also disclosed the relationship between victim and perpetrator/suspect when reporting the incident and how it happened is described at length.
