Abstract

This infographic shows how new penalties for traffic violations have been reported in several Sinhala newspapers (i.e. Mawbima, Divaina, Lakbima, Ada and Dinamina) published on 11.07.2018. It was observed that newspapers have not come to a common position on whether to issue on-the-spot fines or prosecute for certain violations of the law.
