Abstract

This infographic describes media ethics violations i.e. revealing identity and personal details of minors and suspects, publishing without sources and not revealing the identity of the reporter, reporting suicides without helplines; highlighting ethnicity when it is not relevant to the news and reporting inaccurate news of a selected newspapers (i.e. Dinamina, Silumina, Mawbima, Sunday Mawbima, Lankadeepa, Sunday Lankadeepa, Divaina and Sunday Divaina) in 2017.
