Abstract

In the months of August and September 2019, Divaina has used a misleading headline and inaccurate information when reporting about the dismissal of petitions against the death penalty and the news of the nomination for the vacant post of parliamentarian Gajadheera which is a violation of media ethical guidelines. Meanwhile, Ada, Resa, Mawbima and Dinamina reported the same accurately.
