Abstract

During the month of July 2019 Mawbima, and Lankadeepa revealed the identity of minor victims which is a violation of media ethical guidelines. Meanwhile, Ada adhered to ethical guidelines by not revealing the identity of minors in their reportage. This entry also includes an infographic that compares how the Print and Electronic media reported the shooting incident at the Upananda Vidyalaya in Galle on 4 July 2019.
