During the month of November 2021, Sunday Mawbima, Divaina and Sunday Divaina published several articles which contained the following ethical violations; highlighting ethnicity in negative contexts, discriminatory reporting, highlighting ethnicity where irrelevant and ethnic stereotyping, whereas similar articles published in Silumina, Aruna, Dinamina and Lankadeepa did not negatively highlight the ethinicity of individuals
