dc.description.abstract | During the month of November 2021, Mawbima, Divaina, Aruna, and Lankadeepa published several articles which contained the following ethical violations: using the derogatory terms "දුෂණය" (Dooshanaya) and "කෙළෙසීම" (Keleseema) to describe sexual crimes and using trivialised headings that do not sufficiently describe the gravity of sexual crime. Using derogatory terms has a negative impact on the victims of sexual crimes as they denote the idea that such victims have been polluted in a way that they cannot reintegrate to the society. | en_US |
