Abstract

An article published in Mawbima on May 13, 2020 carried the following headline: “Ghanian patient infected 533 at workplace with COVID-19". This violates guidelines for reporting on COVID-19 issued by the Ministry of Health which state that patients should not be referred to as “persons who spread the disease”.
