| dc.description.abstract | On July 11, 2024, Dinamina and Aruna newspapers reported that a young man was arrested at Katunayake Airport for attempting to travel to Austria using another person’s passport. Aruna used appropriate terms such as “Lankikaya” (ලාංකිකයා) and “39 hawiridi tharunaya” (39 හැවිරිදි තරුණයා). In contrast, Dinamina referred to him as a “Dravida jathika tharunaya” (ද්රවිඩ ජාතික තරුණයා), which was not relevant to the incident and promoted a stereotype without following media ethical guidelines. | en_US |
