On the same day, Siyatha, TV Derana, Sirasa, and Hiru TV, and on June 20, 2024, Lankadeepa, Divaina, Mawbima, and Aruna newspapers covered this news as one of their leading Sinhala stories. However, on June 19, 2024, ITN, Rupavahini, and Swarnavahini, and on June 20, 2024, Dinamina and Ada newspapers did not report the incident.en_US
