On 11 January 2024, Dinamina newspaper reported an incident in which a bus conductor injured a passenger. The headline used the derogatory term "Konda" (කොන්දා), which could contribute to marginalising the profession and is considered unethical. However, in the article content, Dinamina used the appropriate term "Kondostharavaraya" (කොන්දොස්තරවරයා) to describe the conductor. Media is advised to maintain neutrality in reporting and avoid using language that negatively highlights any profession.en_US
