"Bond Scam": 9 year Anniversary today (28th February)

Abstract

Daily FT (28 February 2024) front page feature of the bond scam 9 year anniversary press release sent out in February 2024. The corresponding research shows that forensic audits on the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), reported that the fund lost LKR 20 billion due to irregular transactions in the bond and stock markets. This research was conducted by the Public Finance, Economics Team at Verite Research.
