Contribution in Parliament - March 2024: 78 MPs with no contribution

Abstract

In March 2024, 147 MPs contributed to parliamentary proceedings at least once, while 78 MPs did not contribute at all during the 7 sittings held. The following compilation of infographics highlights the list of MPs with no contributions and includes the 5 most active MPs with their overall rank and attendance for the month. These MPs are Rohitha Abegunawardhana (SLPP; 29/225; 5/7), Mahinda Amaraweera (SLPP; 16/225; 5/7), Sajith Premadasa (SJB; 1/225; 7/7), Shehan Semasinghe (SLPP; 10/225; 6/7), and Shanakiyan Rasamanickam (ITAK; 17/225; 7/7). Notably, Rohitha Abegunawardhana is the MP with the most contributions in Parliament for the month.
