| dc.description.abstract | On January 9, 2024, SJB MP Chaminda Wijesiri announced his resignation as a member of parliament. VR's Manthri Team analysed his performance in the parliament. The report card shows the contribution of MP Chaminda Wijesiri in 8th and 9th parliaments. It is based on analysis of Hansard data from September 2015 to February 2020 and August 2020 to October 2023. This includes overall rank (41/225; 13/225), Badulla district rank (1/8; 1/9), attendance in parliament sittings (360/414; 285/304), total number of productive interventions he made in parliament (453, 528) and topics which were discussed most by him in the parliament i.e., Economy and Finance; Governance, Administration and Parliamentary Affairs; Technology, Communications and Energy; Urban Planning, Infrastructure and Transportation. | en_US |
