CBSL more Optimistic than the IMF

Abstract

According to the Annual Report of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) published for the financial year 2022, projected real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth was higher than the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) projection. Over the estimated period between 2023 and 2027, the CBSL projects a 1.9% higher real GDP growth rate than the IMF.
