Abstract

This infographic is created as a response to the Supreme court determination to uphold the expulsion of Sri Lanka Muslim Congress MP and former minister of Environment; Naseer Ahamed from his party. This report card shows the contribution of MP Naseer Ahamed (SLMC) in 9th parliament. It is based on analysis of Hansard data August 2020 to August 2023. This includes overall rank (121/225), district rank (3/5) attendance in parliament sittings (216/288), total number of productive interventions he made in parliament (66) and topics which were discussed most by him in the parliament i.e., Economy and Finance, Governance, Administration and Parliamentary Affairs, Natural Resources and Environment, Technology, Communications and Energy.
