Parliamentary report card: Keheliya Rambukwella – September 2015 to February 2020 and August 2020 to May 2023

Abstract

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa stated that the SJB will present a no-confidence motion against the Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella. VR's Manthri Team analysed his performance in the parliament. The report card shows the contribution of MP Keheliya Rambukwella (SLPP) in 8th and 9th parliaments. It is based on analysis of Hansard data from September 2015 to February 2020 and August 2020 to May 2023. This includes overall rank (147/225; 89/225), kandy district rank (8/12; 6/12), attendance in parliament sittings (205/414; 140/264), total number of productive interventions he made in parliament (50,139) and topics which were discussed most by him in the parliament i.e., Justice, Defense and Public Order; Economy and Finance; Governance, Administration and Parliamentary Affairs; Urban Planning, Infrastructure and Transportation; Health.
