Removing PUCSL's Chairperson - Voting Breakdown
Abstract
On May 24, 2023, the parliament voted to remove Janaka Ratnayake from his office as the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) chairperson with a majority of 10 in excess of the simple majority needed. The following compilation of infographics reflects the list of MPs that voted in favour, against and MPs who were absent during the vote. 123 votes were cast in favour of the resolution, while 77 votes were cast against it and 24 MPs were absent.
