    Abstract
    This set of infographics show representation of female parliamentarians and its percentage composition from the State Councils (1931) to Parliament of Sri Lanka (to present). Over 50% of Sri Lanka’s population are women but in the legislature representation of women has always been under 6%. It also highlights the females in the legislatures in selected countries in the region (i.e. Singapore 29%, Bangladesh and Pakistan 21%, India and Malaysia 15% and Maldives 5%).
