On October 30, 2022 Sunday Divaina reported about the pilot shortage in Sri Lanka and how it is running the risk of the provision of air space services for international flights being handed over to foreign countries. The news is accompanied by a misleading headline that states that Sri Lanka has already lost the service. Also, on October 26 Colombo Times and on October 27 Dinamina reported the news about a carriage (පෙට්ටි) of සියනෑ කුමාරි train breaking away. Colombo times has reported this with a misleading headline that carried a sexual connotation of පෙට්ටි. Complying with media ethical guidelines Dinamina reported the same with the headline 'මැදිරියක් ගැලවී යයි'en_US
