    Abstract
On the proposal to suspend Parliament Standing Orders and debate motion against President, The Morning, Ceylon Today, Daily Mirror, and The Island correctly identified in their front page headlines that it was the proposal to suspend Parliament Standing Orders that got defeated, while Daily News carried a misleading front page headline by asserting that a motion against the president has got defeated in parliament.
