During the month of June 2019, Mawbima, published several articles which contained the following ethical violations: using the derogatory terms "Wenaseem” (වැනසීම)" Wenasu” (වැනසූ) to describe sexual crimes and using inappropriate headlines. Using derogatory terms has a negative impact on the victims of sexual crimes as they denote the idea that such victims have been polluted in a way that they cannot reintegrate to the society.en_US
