During the month of January 2019, Mawbima, Divaina and Dinamina published several articles which contained the following ethical violations: using the derogatory terms "දුෂණය" (Dooshanaya) and "කෙළෙසීම" (Keleseema) to describe sexual crimes. Using derogatory terms has a negative impact on the victims of sexual crimes as they denote the idea that such victims have been polluted in a way that they cannot reintegrate to the society.en_US
