In the month of January 2022, different TV news reported the relief package given by the government in the face of the economic crisis differently. ITN and Rupavahini only showed the opinions of the people who were in favour of the relief package. Hiru and Swarnavahini showed public opinion for and against the relief package, while Sirasa and Derana did not feature any public opinion
