Abstract

In December 2020, newspapers such as Aruna, Divaina, Mawbima, Lankadeepa, DailyFT and Daily mirror published articles related to covid infected individuals where they addressed them as the hosts, people who spread the virus and as victims of the disease. As per the guidelines issued by the MoH, they should be addressed as patients or contracted people.
