Ethics Eye pointed out that The Poynter Institute for Media Studies, a prominent international media and communications organisation highlighted the term ‘Mistress’ as a term journalists may need to avoid for three reasons: the term being sexist, for lacking a male equivalent term and for reducing women to their sexual relationship with men.en_US
