dc.description.abstractOn 22nd of September 2019, then President Maithripala Sirisena appointed a Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Sunday attacks on 19 April 2019. The commission consists of the following commissioners: Justice Janak De Silva (Judge of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Commission), Justice Nissanka Bandula Karunarathna (Judge of the Court of Appeal), Justice Nihal Sunil Rajapakse (Retired Judge of the Court of Appeal), Bandula Kumara Atapattu (Retired Judge of the High Court) and Ms W.M.M.R. Adikari (Retired Ministry Secretary). This final report was handed over to the former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on 1st of February 2021.en_US
