dc.description.abstractVerité Research conducted a series of public finance training sessions specifically designed for journalists and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). The objectives of the training were to improve journalists' and CSOs' knowledge on public finance in Sri Lanka, enhance their understanding of the budget process and key actors involved, enable advocacy work related to the budget, and track the government's expenditure and revenue with an aim of holding the government accountable for the use of public funds. The topics covered under this training were: (1) The National and Provincial Budget Cycle, (2) Government Expenditure, and (3) Government Revenue.en_US
