dc.description.abstract | Sri Lanka's fuel prices increased rapidly within the last few months, even though the Government representatives stated that Sri Lanka still had the lowest fuel prices in the region. However, with the latest fuel prices purchasing a full tank (45 Liters) of Petrol (Octane 92) amounts to almost 1/4th of average monthly household expenditure in Sri Lanka as measured by the Household Income & Expenditure survey (2019). This is the highest among the neighboring countries for which data was available. | en_US |
