dc.description.abstract | This infographic includes the summary of parliament in July 2023. There were 8 parliament sittings in July 2023. During the 8 parliament sittings, 68 written questions were asked but only 44 questions were answered. There was one motion at the adjournment time. 15 announcements were made by the Speaker during the 8 parliament sittings. The number of Bills, Regulations and Orders were 12, 1 and 1 respectively. There were 3 questions by the Private notice at the parliament in July 2023. 67 Points of order were raised in total, and 62 points of order were ruled as technical points of order. Only 5 were ruled as disruptive points of order in the parliament during this month. 33 statements were considered as expunged statements at the parliament. Sajith Premadasa and S.M.
